So much have happened in recent weeks that it’s crazy. This country is going down faster than the Titanic.
The Democrats continue to blame the country’s record deficit on George W. Bush, even though they spent the money. We are in worse shape now than ever before, thanks to the liberal spending ways of President Obama and his fellow Democrats in Congress.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported that the deficit in July was a record $1.3 trillion. The deficit grew by $181 billion from June. The CBO attributed the increase to government spending to bail out car companies, banks and mortgage firms, and lower tax revenues because of the recession.
We have Obama running around saying that we need this health care reform now and not later. His proposed health care reforms will put the country trillions of dollars more in debt.
People are going to town meetings to protest, and they are being harassed for their views. Obama even went as far to say that the people who are complaining are being brought in by groups to cause problems. But it was okay for him to stack his town meeting with people in favor of the bill. He went so far as to hug a woman who had cancer to show compassion. He acted like he just met the woman, when in fact she worked for his campaign!
Then we have an op-ed in USA Today last week by Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer. We now have the speaker of the house saying that if you disagree with the Fidel Obama you are un-American.
This is a quote from the op-ed: “Why is it un-American for the Republicans to speak out and protest but if it is a Democrat they are community organizers?”
Pelosi said “These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American. Drowning out the facts is how we failed at this task for decades.”
This is crazy. With Fidel Obama in office and these two wackos spouting at the mouth like lunatics, we are in big trouble.
Most people don’t know what’s in the health care bill. The issue is that if it is good for you and me, then why is it not good enough for members of Congress? They get to choose their doctor and are not forced into this plan like we would be.
It is nice to have someone with some sense in Washington! Congressman John Fleming (a Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require members of Congress to take the same healthcare plan that they would force upon us (under the proposed legislation they are curiously exempt). Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to sign a petition on his Web site (very simple - just first name, last name and e-mail). Go to: http://fleming.house.gov/
Please urge as many people as you can to do the same!
If members of Congress force this plan on the American people, then they should have to accept the same level of health care for themselves and their families. Take a look at some of the provisions in the bill. Keep in mind these are directly from the bill being proposed and are not made up or doctored in any way.
Pg 22 — Mandates the government will audit books of all employers that self insure.
Pg 30, Sec 123 — A government committee (good luck with that!) will decide what treatments/benefits a person may receive.
Pg 29, lines 4-16 — YOUR HEALTHCARE WILL BE RATIONED!
Pg 42 — The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your healthcare benefits for you.
PG 50, Section 152 — Healthcare will be provided to ALL non-US citizens, illegal or otherwise.
Pg 58 — Government will have real-time access to individual's finances and a national ID healthcard will be issued!
Pg 59, lines 21-24 — Government will have direct access to your bank accounts for election funds transfer.
PG 65, Sec 164 — There is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in unions and community organizations (read: ACORN).
Pg 72, lines 8-14 — Government will create an healthcare exchange to bring private healthcare plans under government control.
PG 91, lines 4-7 — Government mandates linguistic appropriate services. Example — Translation for illegal aliens.
Pg 95, lines 8-18 — The government will use groups, i.e. ACORN & Americorps, to sign up individuals for the government healthcare plan.
PG 85, line 7 — Specifics of benefit levels for plans. AARP members–your health care WILL be rationed.
PG 102, lines 12-18 — Medicaid-eligible individuals will be automatically enrolled in Medicaid. No choice.
pg 124, lines 24-25 — No company can sue the government on price fixing. No "judicial review" is permitted against the government monopoly.
pg 127, lines 1-16 — Doctors/ AMA – The government will tell YOU what you can earn.
Pg 145, lines 15-17 — An employer MUST auto enroll employees into public option plan. NO CHOICE.
Pg 126, lines 22-25 — Employers MUST pay for healthcare benefits for part-time employees AND their families.
Pg 170, lines 1-3 — Any NONRESIDENT alien is exempt from individual taxes. (Americans will pay.)
Pg 195 — Officers and employees of HC Admin (the GOVERNMENT) will have access to ALL Americans' finances and personal records.
Pg 239, lines 14-24 — Government will reduce physician services for Medicaid. Seniors, low income, and the poor are affected.
Pg 241, lines 6-8 — Doctors–doesn't matter what specialty–will all be paid the same.
PG 265, Sec 1131 — Government mandates and controls productivity for private healthcare industries.
Pg 317-318, lines 21-25,1-3 — PROHIBITION on expansion – Government will mandate hospitals cannot expand.
Pg 354, Sec 1177 — Government will RESTRICT enrollment of special needs people!
PG 425, lines 4-12 — Government mandates advance care planning consultations. (Think senior citizens end of life prodding.)
PG 425, lines 22-25; pg 426, Lines 1-3 — Government provides approved list of end of life resources, guiding you in how to die.
PG 427, lines 15-24 — Government mandates program for orders for end of life. The government has a say in how your life ends.
PG 429, lines 10-12 — "Advanced care consultation" may include an ORDER for end of life plans. AN ORDER from the government to end a life!
If you are still in favor of this type of government involvement in your life, then my recommendation is that you see a shrink now while you can still get to one.
