Modern liberalism is a psychological disorder

It is interesting how people look at the modern Liberal. As with every group whether they are right wing or left you can always count on many of them being a little crazy. I found this article interesting. It shows that maybe there is more to being a Liberal than meets the eye.
According to Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness."
"Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded. Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."
Rossiter says the kind of liberalism being displayed by the two major candidates for the Democratic Party presidential nomination can only be understood as a psychological disorder.
"A social scientist who understands human nature will not dismiss the vital roles of free choice, voluntary cooperation and moral integrity - as liberals do," he says.
"A political leader who understands human nature will not ignore individual differences in talent, drive, personal appeal and work ethic, and then try to impose economic and social equality on the population - as liberals do.
And a legislator who understands human nature will not create an environment of rules which over-regulates and over-taxes the nation's citizens, corrupts their character and reduces them to wards of the state - as liberals do."
Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
Creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
Satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
Augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
Rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.
"The roots of liberalism - and its associated madness - can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind," he says. "When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious."
It is an interesting view. I for one have never figured out what this obsession is with having the government take care of everyone and the government control all people. Yet the Liberals do. Look at Obama and Clinton who are the two people running on the Democratic ticket.
All they are talking about is how if they are elected all the things the government will provide free to Americans. Why do we need to have the government take care of us for everything?
This country was founded on and has survived on hard work by people who earned a living and made a better life through that hard work.
These candidates want to spend billions on health care and entitlements. All they talk about is expanding the government while providing more services to people for free(which we all know is not free someone will pay for it).
The mentality of these candidates is to let people know that they cannot do anything on their own. They can’t get ahead without the help of the government. They like to suppress people by making them dependent on the government. They scare people into thinking that if they are not in office we will lose our Social Security. Seniors will lose their Medicare. All of that is not true. What would happen if there was no Social Security and people had the opportunity to invest that money elsewhere? They would have nothing to scare the people with. This is a fact that they go after the people who are poorer and immigrants for votes because they promise them free free free.
I read this theory by the Dr. and it does appear tat the Liberals had some sort of family issues growing up. Maybe parents or family members they depended on all their lives. Sort of like the Kennedy’s controlled by the father Joe and the mother Rose. They are dependent on each other. So naturally they want us to be dependent on the government so they can try to control us. If people use their God given talents to advance themselves it scares the heck out of the liberals.
If the liberals allow people to use their minds to advance in the great country they will succeed. I think they should worry more about how to get every American a solid education including college instead of upping the welfare payments.
Give people the opportunity not money.
The Democrats in general want people stay down and suppressed this way they can try to control them and they will depend on them to live.
It all makes sense to me after reading the above descriptions on Liberals. It is sad that people cannot see that. I am not saying that all Republicans are any better but they are for people lifting themselves up and working hard and being rewarded for that hard work. There is a fundamental difference of thinking between the parties. One party encourages people to work hard and advance to a better life while the other is for the government working hard for people while allowing the people to blame society for their failures instead of themselves.
