I can’t keep quiet about politics any longer

(by Luigi Luciano - September 13, 2007)
Ok I spent the past few weeks not talking about politics. I can’t keep quiet any longer

I heard comments by the ever negative Chucky Schumer on the floor of the Senate blasting our military and once again showing the ignorance of the Democratic party leaders.

I am holding nothing back here this week. Most elected Democrats are ignorant, selfish and should be charged with treason for what they are doing in public.  While speaking on the Senate floor last week Schumer made a speech that should be appalling to any American and especially our Armed Forces.

Rush stated it the best: He (Schumer) admits there's peace in Anbar, the province Democrats once used as "proof" that we'd lost the war in Iraq. Schumer then spins the good news by saying peace came about "despite the surge," because Sunnis and Shi'ites have united to do the job the US military failed to do! There would be outrage over this in America, if only the Drive-Bys would cover it. This is treasonous. The Democrat attempts to undermine the war and discredit General Petraeus are beyond the pale, worse than anything that went on in Vietnam, and it will lead them to a landslide defeat -- eventually.

The point here is that people like Schumer, Pelosi, Reid are all (and I will say it) anti-American. Not because they oppose the war but because of how the oppose America in general.

They say and do what they want only to back track over and over. They say we lost the war then when asked who won the war they back track.

All they are trying to do is keep on going after President Bush. To show their real stupidity what reason is there to go after him? Is he running for office again in 2008? Not at  all. So why keep wasting their time on him when they should be doing something to help the people they work for. Instead of looking at the issues like immigration reform, independence from the foreign oil they are hosting investigation after investigation on what they fell Bush has done wrong.

They are holding hearing after hearing and trying to impeach Bush any way they can.  2007 is a very difficult year and every year has been since September 11, 2001.

Just as we remembered the sixth anniversary this last week many people just look at it as a distant memory. They forget that we are still a target to more than just Al Qaeda. We have the lunatics in Iran, North Korea, Venezuela as well as who knows what the Russians and Chinese are up to.  Instead of worrying about impeachment of Bush they should be looking at ways to keep us safe.

Between the Democrats, major news networks the national newspapers they all have nothing good to say about the United States.

When is the last time they have done a positive story on our military? All they want to do is show how bad America is. They want to show that we are bullies and try to push people around and that we are the bad guys. They forget that 911 happened. It happened by radical Islamic people. They forget that we have foiled many other plots here and abroad. They forget a lot.

When I hear the Schumer, Pelosi, Murtha, Kennedy and Reid speak it makes me sick. They really need to be accountable for their action and words.

We are at war even though we are not fighting it here in U.S soil. Their words need and should be considered an act of treason. They keep saying they support the troops but yet they keep blasting their work and the Generals that they work for.

I know for a fact that most people see this and understand it. The ones that do not are the ones that can’t get past Bush. They see him and nothing else is as important. In fact Harry Reid even blamed Bush for the bridge collapse in Minnesota! He said if we were not spending money in Iraq we could have fixed the bridges. Any rational person know that one thing has nothing to do with the other.

Everyday the headlines read nothing but negativity. The Democratic leaders say nothing constructive and only criticize this country over and over. They have nothing good to say and are always angry. They are an embarrassment to our country and should be removed from office.

Before all the Democrats get up in arms with this column this has nothing to do with whether you agree or disagree with the war. This has nothing to do with whether you like Bush or not. It has to do with what other people perceive us to be. All everyone hears is that we lost a war; our country does not belong here or there. We are spying on innocent people. This all comes from the elected officials who are supposed to represent us and the country.

There is no reason for them ( in public at a time of war)  to keep making stupid comments against this country.

The only reason they keep doing it is they think that they can gain power in government and people will see them differently and vote for them.

That would be true if people from other countries could vote here. Most level headed people in this country (and yes there are some level headed Democrats as well) would not vote for people like this.

The problem is that if those level headed people do not get out and vote we can end up with people like Hillary in office and that will be worse than having George W in.

They would to take us to a state of socialism at its worst. They want socialized health care. Can you even imagine the government running the health care system? They can’t run what they have now. They would take us to a place that will set us on a course for destruction and bring this country to its knees.

For the life of me I cannot understand how people at least intelligent people cannot see these people for what they are.

I know that many politicians are the same in both parties. But I am talking specifically about the people I mentioned along with few others like Al Gore (who I thank for creating the Internet) Howard Dean who made running around like a lunatic OK and John Kerry who is about exciting as an inane drone but when he opens his mouth comes off more like a donkey.

The media needs to be censored. They need to stop publishing things that hurt our image and our troops at a time of war.

It was done back in World War II and we need to do again now.

I would urge you to find the speech by Schumer and whether you are a Democrat or Republican contact his office and demand an apology to the American people and our troops.

We need to send a message to other countries and the enemy that we are a strong country and unified not divided.

Since 911 of 2001 there has not a sign of patriotism. Back then I remember you went street to street and flags flew everywhere. Red, white and blue was seen all over in support of our troops and country. Today the only signs we see are all the hate signs for our President.

When someone makes a movie about assassinating president Bush things have gone to far.

Be American and support our military and our way of life. Write all politicians and tell them you are tired of negative talk and you want them to be more supportive of America.
