The world we live in gets wackier and wackier
(by Luigi Luciano - August 02, 2007)
I have come to the conclusion that there are just too many people in this world and maybe we do need to limit the amount of children one can have. You have people running around murdering children and others murdering their families then killing themselves. We have people who don’t believe in abortions and claim the sanctity of life is important but they would kill a doctor who performs abortions.
Of course we have the wacko terrorists who feel that it is OK to blow themselves up and kill lots of people in the name of a god and in hopes of getting a lot of virgins where ever they end up. All these crazy people have no clue about life and hold beliefs that are nothing but crazy ideas that they are brainwashed into believing.
Then we have the animal right people who will do just about anything to a human being but never harm an animal. They will spend millions of dollars protecting some spotted owl that 99% of the world will never see, over spending that money on saving the hungry children on the streets around our country. They worry about the abuse of animals but don’t seem to mind the millions of people being killed around the world by crazed dictators.
I do not approve of the mistreatment of animals but I am not going the way of Tofu by any means. That stuff is brutal tasting. I have no idea what people see in that. I tried a new Tofu with garlic flavoring. It was like eating garlic-flavored toothpaste. I even tried to cut back on meat. I bought something that resembled pepperoni in the supermarket. When I got home and open it up and tried it, I could barely keep in my mouth before spitting it out into the garbage. I have no problem with people that can eat that stuff, but until they come up with a good alternative to a nice hot dish of Veal Parmigana I’m sticking to my meat.
Now as if that isn’t bad enough we have people throwing paint on people’s furs calling themselves eco-terrorists. You might be saying what are eco terrorists? That is exactly what I said. Well here is a little insight to what they are about.
*A twelve-foot sign next to the arson site read: "If you build it -- we will burn it -- the E.L.F.'s are mad." The Earth Liberation Front, along with its sister group, the Animal Liberation Front (ALF), have taken responsibility for more than 600 crimes since 1996, totaling more than $100 million in damages.
*Earth Liberation Front (ELF) set fire to an unfinished, 200-unit condominium development late one night in August, 2003.
*Earth First! (EF!) is a "warrior society" that takes a "by any means necessary" approach to "defending mother earth." The group declines to participate in the democratic process, preferring instead to damage, disable, and destroy the property of its ever-growing list of enemies. EF! targets include, but are by no means limited to, loggers, ranchers, and farmers -- especially those who grow genetically modified crops. Earth Firsters' crimes include assault, arson, and untold acts of sabotage.
Look at this list of some of the eco terrorist groups:
The Animal Liberation Front (ALF) is the nation's most active extreme animal rights movement. Composed of anonymous underground cells that oppose any form of animal experimentation and perceived mistreatment, it aims to rescue animals from "places of abuse" and to "inflict economic damage to those who profit from the misery and exploitation of animals [sic]". ALF cells have claimed responsibility for hundreds of "direct actions," a euphemism for crimes that include freeing animals from their owners and property destruction. Meanwhile, we have millions of people being killed by their governments, starving and homeless - but we have to save the pig that is being caged up because it is cruel.
The Earth Liberation Front - By 2004, ALF's environmental counterpart, the Earth Liberation Front (ELF), was setting new records for property damage. Modeled after ALF, ELF consists of "autonomous groups of people" who are "anonymous not only to the public but also to one another," according to its Web site. The movement aims to "inflict economic damage on those profiting from the destruction and exploitation of the natural environment" and "to reveal and educate the public on the atrocities committed against the earth and all species that populate it." Acts of property destruction are considered by ELF to be non-violent because no human being or animals are targeted.
But if they set fire to a building that causes other building to catch on fire and kills people living in them is that ok? I guess it is better to pollute the earth from the fires and if it happens to kill a human or two that is ok.
This is what we are dealing with today. Not only do we have to fight the threat of terrorism from the radical Islamic fundamentalists, but from our own people who want to save the earth and animals on it.
The insanity continues. In world with so many people and so many people with really crazy ideas how do we stop them all? How does one become such a fanatic that they lose sight of what is right and good?
I know for myself that I do not want to see animals destroyed and tortured, but at the same time I am not going to stop eating meat because of it. I am not going to go out and throw paint on someones fur coat they paid a lot of money to have. I am certainly not going to kill another human being over an animal no matter what. This is the difference between sane and insane. Most of these people are insane and need to be treated that way. Anyone that will kill another person for the sake of an animal or land or even wacky religious beliefs is not all there to begin with. Something had to snap to get them to that point.
I do think we need to work to protect the environment but if there is a spotted owl and a human standing in the middle of road and I am driving toward it you bet I would choose the Owl feather flying and all over the human, unless of course it was one of these whackos, than I might have to think twice.
