It’s the End of the world as we know (and Luigi feels fine)!

(by Luigi Luciano - May 03, 2007)
I remember waking up one day and hearing about an Al Gore documentary that global warning is here and we are on the verge of destroying the world.

I knew this had to be true. How could it not? This was coming from the man who invented the Internet and has transformed the world, as we know it. A man who should have won the election in 2000 and if he did we would not be at war in Iraq but we would all be planting flowers and trees together in an effort to save the environment. The terrorists would have stopped terrorizing everyone and would have helped around the world to save the spotted owl.

Global warming might be happening and yes I am sure that humans are contributing to it in some form or another, but I do not believe that we are solely responsible for it.  The earth is a big planet it has been around for many years.

If anyone remembers back in the 70’s the talk then was that we were headed for a mini-ice age. Read this from Newsweek April 28, 1975.

"The Cooling World" - by Peter Gwynne

“There are ominous signs that the Earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production – with serious political implications for just about every nation on Earth. The drop in food output could begin quite soon, perhaps only 10 years from now.

A survey completed last year by Dr. Murray Mitchell of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reveals a drop of half a degree in average ground temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere between 1945 and 1968. According to George Kukla of Columbia University, satellite photos indicated a sudden, large increase in Northern Hemisphere snow cover in the winter of 1971-72. And a study released last month by two NOAA scientists’ notes that the amount of sunshine reaching the ground in the continental U.S. diminished by 1.3% between 1964 and 1972.”

We must also remember that we have had warming before. Years before man invented automobiles and factories.

The idea that we are warming up only because of what man has been doing is not only ludicrous but also egotistical. Who do we think we are that we can take credit for destroying the entire planet earth? The Creator who has taken care of the earth forever is the one who controls things. There are natural cycles that the earth goes through from time to time including warming and cooling.

It is really funny to me that we heard from Al Gore and some of his crazies all winter when the temperatures were warmer than normal. Then comes spring and the temperatures are cooler than normal with more snow than we saw all winter. Where are they now? Not a peep out of them.

Do any of you remember the photo of the Polar Bear stranded on the ice?

We were told this was from global warming and the poor bears would be stranded as the glacier melted away because of global warming.

 Read this from Rush Limbaugh:

“By the way, do you remember last week Drudge had on his home page a picture of two polar bears? Actually, that picture goes back to 2004. I did a little research. I have found something. That picture has been totally misrepresented. It was of two polar bears on what looks like a melting glacier, a little ice floe that has split away, and they are supposedly stranded. That picture was taken back in 2004, and the caption for the original picture talks about how these polar bears, a mother and her cub, are playing around on an ice sculpture created by waves! An ice sculpture created by waves, a phenomenon that occurs when you have real cold water and cold air in the north like at the Arctic Circle. Now, nobody can tell me that waves are part of global warming, because waves have been in the ocean ever since there's been the ocean. So global warming had no impact whatsoever on where those polar bears were!”

They chose to be there. They swam out there, swam up on the ice flow. They can swim hundreds of miles, on top of the water, the surface, underneath. The whole thing was a fraud, and it is a great little microcosm for the entire global warming escapade.

Now we have Cheryl Crow telling us we should “use one square of toilet paper per visit to the bathroom. This from a woman who when she travels demands a bunch of buses and tractor-trailer trucks and phone lines and faxes and all kinds of adult beverages. But we should cut back on toilet paper to save the world?

But people like Cheryl Crow and Al Gore, to claim that we need to change while they still fly in private jets and live like the kings and queens they think they are, need to simply shut up or make sense. They are a bunch of blabbering fools who comes off as nuts. Thank god most people recognize that.

The environmentalists have been over blowing the global warming theory (which is all it is) for years. It is another topic for them to hang their hats on and for business to capitalize on.

In New York on Earth Day Mayor Bloomberg announced an $8.00 per car tax to bring your car in certain parts of the c ityduring peak hours. Everywhere, companies are now offering the option for customers to buy those bogus carbon offset credits. Soon the Federal Government will add a tax on everyone to help save the planet.

The bottom line here is that we are cleaner than we have been in years. Should we do more? Of course we should. We should always look to improve things. I remember when most rivers were loaded with garbage. Now we are more conscious and so are our children.

People that believe all this stuff just need to do the research and understand what is really happening. Don’t just take the word of some famous person who wants to tell us how to live while they go on with their lives sacrificing nothing.

Take the time to read up on topics and don’t simply take one person word as gospel.
