Obama Wish List

This Video Just shows the out of control Government

Obama's economic stimulus plan has $314 billion allocated to favorite Democratic Party social welfare program and political causes, according to a list prepared by the Director Blue blog:
See More below:

* $83 billion in welfare payments (the earned income credit for people who don't pay income tax)
* $81 billion for Medicaid
* $86 billion on education, more than the entire Department of Education required just ten years ago
* $36 billion for expanded unemployment benefits
* $20 billion for food stamps
* $8 billion on renewable energy projects
* $7 billion for modernizing federal buildings and facilities
* $6 billion on urban transit systems
* $2 billion for child-care subsidies
* $1 billion for Amtrak
* $650 million for digital TV conversion coupons
* $600 million on new cars for government
* $400 million for global-warming research
* $50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts

If we forget history, we loose a very valuable tool!

Norman Mattoon Thomas (November 20, 1884 - December 19, 1968) was a leading American socialist, pacifist, and six-time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America.
The Socialist Party candidate for President of the United States, Norman Thomas said this in a 1944 speech:
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." He went on to say: "I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform."

Outrageous: Milwaukee Public Schools will get $88.6 million from this economic stimulus bill for new construction, "even though the district has 15 vacant school buildings, a large surplus of property and no plans for new construction."

YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK By Neal Boortz

We were told that we had to bailout the auto companies (aka. auto workers union) so that we could save an industry that provides a lot of jobs to American workers. In fact, that auto companies went as far as to say that our country would be sent into a depression if we didn't save their companies.
So the taxpayers gave them a bailout. And guess what? They are coming back for more. Billions more.
And guess where that money is going? GM investments in Brazil.
Yep, you read that correctly. An article from the Latin American Herald Tribune reports that GM is going to invest $1 billion in Brazil "to avoid the kind of problems the U.S. automaker is facing in its home market." And according to the president of GM in Brazil, this funding will be coming from the bailout money from the US taxpayers.
I wonder what kind of problems they're talking about avoiding? Probably union problems .. but do the GM officials have the cajones to say that?
This is not good news .. while the private workforce is losing jobs, the number of people working for the government is growing.

We Blame George W. Bush
The New York Times has the latest horror story from Baghdad:
Iraqis voted on Saturday for local representatives, on an almost violence-free election day aimed at creating provincial councils that more closely represent Iraq's ethnic, sectarian and tribal balance. By nightfall, there were no confirmed deaths, and children played soccer on closed-off streets in a generally joyous atmosphere.
How come the Iraqis get to vote? Didn't they attack us on 9/11? Or they had nothing to do with 9/11?
Whatever, one or the other. Either way, this is all George W. Bush's fault. Damn him!

Wasteful and Non-Stimulative Spending in the House-Senate Conference Report:

  • $24 million for USDA buildings and rent
  • $176 million for renovating Agricultural Research Service buildings
  • $290 million for flood prevention activities
  • $50 million for watershed rehabilitation
  • $1.4 billion for wastewater disposal programs
  • $295 million for administrative expenses associated with food stamp program
  • $1 billion for the 2010 Census
  • $200 million for public computer centers at community colleges and libraries
  • $650 million for the DTV converter box coupon program
  • $360 million for construction of NIST buildings
  • $830 million for NOAA research and facilities
  • $2 billion for Byrne JAG program

  • $3.7 billion to conduct "green" renovations on military bases
  • $375 million for Mississippi River projects
  • $10 million for urban canals
  • $5 billion for weatherizing buildings
  • $2 billion to develop advanced batteries for hybrid cars

  • $50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
  • $1.2 billion for "youth activities" (for "youth" up to 24 years old)
  • $500 million earmark for NIH facilities in Bethesda, MD
  • $1 billion for Head Start
  • $32 million for home-delivered nutrition services
  • $160 million for volunteer programs at the Corporation for National and Community Service
  • $500 million earmark for the SSA National Computer Center in MD
  • $220 million for the International Boundary and Water Commission, U.S. and Mexico
  • $8 billion for high-speed railway (including an earmark for Harry Reid's LA to Las Vegas MagLev)
  • $1.3 billion for Amtrak

Bloated government budgets simply don't make economies soar. Spending willy-nilly didn't work in the 1970s, the last time Washington tried spending its way out of a slump. It won't work now.

The Obama Cult
Check out the "I Pledge" video, produced by Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, which Michael Graham describes in the Boston Herald:

When rocker Anthony Kiedis says "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama," it seems humorously over the top.
But then Moore stares intently into the camera and announces "I pledge to be a servant to our president," a pledge echoed by all the celebs who promise to become "the change that we seek."
A pledge of allegiance to Obama? I don't care if you're a Republican, Democrat or a Vegan Evangelical Anarchist--that's just plain creepy.

It's also odd coming from a group of people who've previously shown little enthusiasm for pledging allegiance to our flag, much less a previous president.

"This isn't patriotism," Graham observes--and he's right. Patriotism is the love of one's country, not a devotion to any particular officeholder. We would venture to say that patriotism demands a degree of respect for the presidency, and for the man who holds the office at any given time, whether or not one admires the president or finds his policies congenial.

Obama is our president too, and we wish him well. But this cult phenomenon is the flip side of the hatred that the left too often displayed during the Bush years. As long as it remains the province of a political fringe, and as long as Obama is wise enough not to let it go to its head, it is likely to be harmless.

But history offers numerous cautionary tales about the dangers of treating politicians as objects of worship.

NBC Cancels Coulter

Ann Coulter's latest book is out today, but she won't be promoting it on NBC — despite having been booked on the Today show — because the moonbattiest of the alphabet networks has banned her for life, according to a source reported on Drudge. However, other sources claim she was axed at the last minute only so they could replace her with tacky gossip maven Perez Hilton — who has offered $1,000 to anyone who would throw a pie at Coulter.

The main theme of her book is liberal bias, which NBC exemplifies appallingly, so the question isn't whether she's banned, but why they booked her in the first place.
As usual, Ann sums up the situation succinctly:

I guess this ends the "they just want to get ratings" argument about liberal media bias.
One Ann Coulter against the entire MSM establishment is hardly a fair fight — but that's just too bad for the MSM establishment.

What is in a number? 2751. Does that number have any significance? Does 911 mean anything? 2751 is the number of people who died in the terror attacks on 9-11. As I was going into the office on Thursday September 11, 2008 I turned on Fox News on the s
