Who is Luigi Luciani? |

What can be said about Luigi Luciani that hasn't been said already? To many he is the clearest thinker this part of the country has seen since Thomas Paine was let loose with quill and moveable type. To others, Luigi's view on life is anti-American and a symbol of what is wrong with this country today. If nothing else, Luigi does inspire critical thinking; he does have his fans.
So, just who is this guy who has readers of The Weekly News talking? Who is this genius/crackpot/subversive? (Pick one or all three!)
Let me be the first to assure you that Luigi and I are not the same person. His rants and mine differ in substance practically 100%.
"So how does he get space?" you ask.
Ah. now that's an interesting question. And the answer is simple. Luigi supplies the ultra conservative voice to those who feel disenfranchised. Many who voted in the last election for George W. Bust hoped to find their values restored. They were disappointed to find business as usual. Luigi is their vent.
From readers response, it is very clear that more agree with Luigi, about four to one, than disagree. Just when I think one of Luigi's submissions is going to bring the walls in on us, the positive response is overwhelming. Its obvious that there are many more of you than there are of me.
So who is Luigi Luciani? Just think of him as your dark side.
Yeah, but who is he? "Who is the Luigi Luciani?" you ask...again. Does it really matter. Isn't it enough to know that there is someone with a voice who agrees with you... and who can get your ideas in print?
Its gotta be, 'cause I'll never tell...
